The METALSISTEM Foundation Onlus proudly announces the establishment of the "Oltre gli ostacoli" (“Beyond obstacles”) magazine. This project has been the desire of the Foundation for some time as it represents a unique opportunity to provide a platform for dialogue, food for thought and specific content regarding disability concerns.
A magazine that, from its very first publication, will focus on helping people take small steps towards an increased awareness through the promotion of a constructive dialogue which is inclusive of people with disabilities.
With the "Oltre gli ostacoli" project, the METALSISTEM Foundation wants to shine a spotlight with a holistic view of the subject of disability, social inclusion and health care, without borders or ideologies. This magazine will be published in Italian with the goal to be distributed nationally with an eye on international issues, in other words to become a reference point to encourage participation and growth in social topics.
In this first print run of the magazine, it will feature interviews with Giacomo Bertagnolli, Italian flag bearer of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympics, the Paralympic athlete Martina Caironi, the president of the Italian Paralympic Committee Luca Pancalli and the female national deaf volleyball team coach Alessandra Campedelli. Particular attention will also be given to some insights into the two main initiatives supported locally by the METALSISTEM Onlus Foundation: the sports activity of the “A.s.d. Disabili Sport Team Vallagarina” and the “Dal Barba” restaurant, an organisation that provides employment for people with disabilities.
