METALSISTEM is proud to publish an extract from the “Costruzioni Metalliche” magazine, an important construction engineering Italian periodical.
This article discusses the test tower currently used by the METALSISTEM R&D team for full scale pallet rack seismic testing.
The Metalseismic Tower has been chosen by the Italian sectorial magazine as a reference project for its unique nature and complexity, demonstrated by the sophisticated 3D modelling adopted in its design.
The article also touches on the subject of the apparatus employed in the full scale pallet racking seismic tests, which enable racking components to be pushed to induce a vertical collapse under a variety of simulated real world conditions, safely.
